--Deb Jahnke recently returned from The Five Star Institute of Hurst, Texas, where she underwent certification training in the real estate foreclosure industry. Mortgage default has been an increasing problem throughout the country. This syndrome has caused an increased need for real estate professionals to become proficient in working with home sellers, lenders, and servicers to ease the foreclosure process.
“No home owner wants to find themselves in a position where they are unable to make payments on their mortgage, but the good news is that lenders and real estate professionals are there to help if this does happen. Many times there are things that can be done to prevent a home owner from staring down the barrel of losing their home. It’s often just a matter of asking for some help before the situation gets out of control”, says Jahnke.
Jahnke was also instructed on the specific skills needed to work with HUD, VA, and government sponsored enterprises. This included education on both the buying and selling ends.
“I have had a long term interest in learning more about the default industry but was unable to find any good resources locally. The program in Texas seemed well-rounded and the instructors had a lot of experience to share. I am optimistic that the skills I obtained will benefit my clients locally.”
